For many travelers, teamLab Planets TOKYO offers a unique and immersive museum experience, justifying the cost. Easily accessible by public transit, it's a bit out of central Tokyo, but navigation is smooth. Advance online booking is essential due to high demand.
Visitors recommend spending 2-3 hours there, ideally booking the earliest morning slot to avoid crowds. While families and kids love it, adults also enjoy the experience. Staff reviews are mixed; some find them helpful, while others report inattentiveness.

Must do on Japan!

The pictures that you see do not give this place justice, it was absolutely phenomenal and very immersive. Do this solo, as a couple, or bring the entire family.

Best part was the "water" section - if short on time, visit that first and exit for RAMEN
Feb 2026
Order your tickets ahead, but do not expect to enter ahead of your time frame. After the "water" exhibit, you might feel dizzy and overwhelmed with the other exhibits (and difficult to find the exits). Do yourself a favor, and enjoy the incredible ramen at the Michelin-starred Ramen place just at the exit.

Incredible experience
Feb 2026
Absolutely a must see experience. At first we were not going to do the water portion because we were worried about getting wet but decided since we are in Japan when will we get another chance to come here. And to be very honest it was the highlight of the whole experience. With that being said everything was incredible. I highly recommend.

Overhyped, does not worth it overall

A lot of peoples. A lot of kids. Which both ruins experience.
Two only things that is good as for me was light installation and ceiling scene. Forest was very crowded during my visit - and not that interesting.
I paid extra for premium just to bypass entry queue which wasn’t worth it in my opinion.

Beautiful, fairy. We are immersed in universes all more beautiful than each other. We spend our time wondering from room to room. You can't see time going by. Very well organized, access to all amenities. Must do!

Would recommend, super interesting experience (take the earliest time slot to avoid crowds)
Feb 2026 • Couples
We had a great time exploring teamLab Planets Tokyo. We would totally recommend, especially for the price. We spent approximately 3 hours there and found it really interesting. We would suggest going during the earliest time slot available as it was starting to get quite busy when we left and a line was forming outside. We were able to walk right up and get it.
